Welcome to 'Olivia Yoga'
I specialise in Beginners' and Intermediate Yoga; Hatha, Yin and Vinyasa Yoga; Over 65's Chair Yoga, Private Yoga and Yoga therapy. The classes are tailored to suit your goals and aim to bring health, balance, peace and strength to the body and mind. As a certified Yoga teacher I am registered with Yoga Alliance and have around 10 years of experience.
My personal journey started about 10 years ago when I looking for a sense of inner calm, meaning, and a connection to my authentic self, amid the modern hectic lifestyle. I was also looking to release pain from the body, to get rid of headaches and to increase flexibility. I began to see the benefits, and the journey has continued since then.
Over time I have become increasingly intrigued by Yoga as I've seen the positive affects on the body, mind and overall health. Having explored different forms of exercise, various spiritual paths, and having studied the anatomy and science behind Yoga, I believe that Yoga is one of the best practices anyone can do. Yoga is arguably the ultimate mind-body workout, helping you to re-connect to your true self and develop a stronger, flexible and more balanced body, as well as a sense of mindfulness and calm. It is a great antidote for anxiety and stress, as well as encouraging anti-aging. The mindfulness, breathing techniques and meditation involved in the practice, means that Yoga works on the physical body in a sustainable and careful way, making it one of the best forms of exercise you can do in the long term.

If you are new to Yoga or perhaps reluctant to try a class, then this friendly and non-judgemental space might suit you. Drawing on experience and knowledge from years of study and practice, I combine elements of Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin Yoga to increase body strength and flexibility, and aid weight loss. However, an equal focus of the classes is the mindfulness and breathing (and relaxation) so that you can connect back to yourself, reduce your levels of stress and anxiety, and combat the aging process! The goal is to help you re-centre, tune in and feel good about yourself and your body.
